QUESTIONS RAISED BY THE CROSS

Christ endured open humiliation, contempt, stripping, torture, accusation, and death. His public suffering gives profound moral and theological weight to the believer’s call to own Him publicly.

The heart truly resting upon Christ’s public atonement is drawn toward public allegiance.

No. It stands in contradiction to the faith that claims to rest upon the publicly crucified Christ.

No shame at all; a clear, humble, and unwavering confession: Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, is my Savior and my Lord.
